1 Sing for joy to God our strength;
shout aloud to the God of Jacob!
2 Begin the music, strike the timbrel,
play the melodious harp and lyre.
3 Sound the ram’s horn at the New Moon,
and when the moon is full, on the day of our festival;
4 this is a decree for Israel,

This glorious Psalm encourages us in joyous praise as it beckons us to begin the music- strike up the tambourine, the harp and lyre- play the instruments. In today’s world, it might equate to play the keyboard and the guitar, the drums and the violin, add the trumpet and the sax and let’s make a joyful noise unto the Lord. It is by the blood of Jesus alone that we are able to draw near unto God. Before we come to Christ we are enslaved to sin. We are driven by the desires of our sinful nature believing that they will satisfy us. But what we fail to understand is that as we indulge in sin more and more it deceptively destroys our life.
