Sing for joy to God our strength;
    shout aloud to the God of Jacob!
Begin the music, strike the timbrel,
    play the melodious harp and lyre.

Sound the ram’s horn at the New Moon,
    and when the moon is full, on the day of our festival;
this is a decree for Israel,
    an ordinance of the God of Jacob. Psalm 81:1-4

This glorious Psalm encourages us in joyous praise as it beckons us to begin the music- strike up the tambourine, the harp and lyre- play the instruments. In today’s world, it might equate to play the keyboard and the guitar, the drums and the violin, add the trumpet and the sax and let’s make a joyful noise unto the Lord.  Let’s give our God the glory due His Great, Mighty, and Awesome Name for that is what we were created to…
