Hold firmly to the word of life; then, on the day of Christ’s return, I will be proud that I did not run the race in vain and that my work was not useless. Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭16‬

Latest figures show that a social media influencers make, on average over $57,000 per year! That, to me is an amazing amount of money to earn talking on the internet.

Granted, I realize there is a lot of work put in to get to that point and the real money makers work hard on material that will ‘sell’. While being a ‘social media’ influencer may reach many people, true influence comes in smaller numbers.

Jesus was followed by 100’s, yet he did his best work among the twelve and even deeper work with three of them. We like to have many followers and likes, but our greatest impact is with our family and friends.

A rock dropped in still water makes the biggest mark at the point of impact. the further out the ripples go, the less change they make.

Paul writes ‘Hold firmly to the word of life; then, on the day of Christ’s return, I will be proud that I did not run the race in vain and that my work was not useless.” (Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭16‬)

Paul knew his greatest influence would be shown in the lives of those who he impacted, not in what he did personally. Pour yourself into those you meet so you can share in the glory Jesus receives.
