“The LORD is my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid? The LORD is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?”‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

When God says He will protect. He will. Yes that’s true. One thing that God cannot do is to lie.

You see God is committed to His words and whatever we read in the bible so God will do and He will established it for you and I.

When God says it, things will fall into its proper placed. Just like when He created the earth. He didn’t resent nor thought about things twice but He just spoke and things come forth and here we go. I have heard an interesting and challenging word over the past few months. It has been used as a descriptive word of someone’s character or personality. It also has been a word to challenge someone to reach for their full potential and be an enhancement to life. Social media has weakened the concept of “friend”. True friends and true brothers are the ones who do far more than ‘like and share’ your posts. They stay patiently by your side during the tough times and rejoice in your victories. Our example in all this is a creator God who didn’t send Adam and Eve a friend request or text. He sought them out in the cool of the day for an intimate walk in the garden.

Discipline is often confused with punishment.  Punishment’s goal is to ‘make you pay’ for your crime. Discipline guides you to restoration. Disciple is done in love; punishment in anger. Discipline requires relationship; punishment does not.

This verse could be very concerning to some. Few of us really want our deepest desires or thoughts exposed. Exposing them to someone intent on harming us physically or emotionally would keep us away. But exposing them to a loving Father intent on making us better is refreshing to say the least.
