The summer of ‘23 has become ‘the summer that wasn’t’ for my wife and I. This spring we made plenty of plans for a few more camping trips, some dedicated efforts to getting caught up on yard work, and spending a little more time on our patio and hot tub.

That drastically changed in May. To make a long story short, somehow I contracted a severe staph infection in my shoulder. This infection could have been life-threatening if left much longer.

God is good all the time, even during those times we don’t understand his working or feel his presence. As we look back over the last few months we’ve been amazed at how Jesus has placed the right people and the right situations in our path. Walking the halls of the hospital I was continually reminded that there were many others who were far worse of than I. I found myself praying for many of them.

As a result of all this I made the decision to take care of my health and emotional/spiritual well being. I’ve enjoyed this blog and the Grace Nuggets I’ve been able to share with you and hope to resume some of that in the future.

For now, please keep us in your prayers as I’m on a pretty hefty regime of medication to rid my body of this infection. I also invite you too subscribe to my YouTube channel, https://youtube.com/@builtwithgrace.

As always, B Blessed!
