Most of us remember a time growing up when we were asked to try something new. We may have refused because we had a pre-conceived idea that whatever it was would not be good. Some look at God that way. We don’t want to sell out to him because, in reality, we think we can do it better. Blessed is the one who has learned from personal experience that God’s ways are the best ways.


It’s so easy to base our self-worth on what others think about us. But people are fickle. They come into our lives and leave again. Some are loyal, others are not. There is one who is always pleased with me and will never leave me for all eternity!


When we live in intentional, known sin, God turns his face for he can not look on sin. Oh! But when we confess and repent he eagerly comes to us with open arms. He never waits to renew our relationship.

I am...Broken

“My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.” Psalm 51:17 NIV

“God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.” Matthew 5:3 NLT

In Christ we are on the path to completion. He not just fills in our gaps, but recreates us from our broken state.

First we must recognize that we come to Him broken. We do not remain broken, in spirit, as he heals us and makes us whole, but in that our own fleshly desires are broken.

We as believers do not get saved, have redemption, and then return torunningthe show. We must recognize that to a certain extent in Christ we remain broken to our will and complete in His.

Therefore, in that regard, in order to be truly found resting in Him…
